Anton Strezhnev’s research focuses on the development and application of quantitative methods to social science problems. He is particularly interested in new methods for causal inference in observational settings, focusing on the development improved designs for estimating the effects of time-varying treatments. Substantively, he studies international organizations, the empirical analysis of law, and the governance of global trade and investment.
His research has been published in International Organization, European Journal of International Law, Journal of Experimental Political Science, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and The Journal of Legal Studies.
Strezhnev received his PhD from the Department of Government at Harvard University. He was previously a research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a Moore-Sloan Data Science Fellow at the New York University Center for Data Science.
