Charles German is a preventive cardiologist specializing in lifestyle modifications to reduce the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. He is a member of the American Heart Association (AHA), American College of Cardiology, and American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC). He also serves on the AHA’s physical activity and obesity committees, co-chairs the ASPC fellows-in-training and early career working group, and directs the cardiac rehabilitation program at the University of Chicago.
His work has been published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, American Journal of Preventive Cardiology, and Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise. He was recently invited to serve on the editorial board for the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Prevention.
German obtained his MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch, and an MS in clinical and population translational sciences from the Wake Forest School of Medicine.
