Hena Patel’s primary focus is on multimodality cardiac imaging and women’s cardiovascular health, with interests in preventive cardiology and cardio-obstetrics. She is an expert in transthoracic echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and cardiac computerized tomography.
Patel’s work has been published in Clinical Electrophysiology, Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of Women’s Health, and Current Cardiology Reviews. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association.
Patel received her MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Rush University Medical Center. She completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Rush University Medical Center and an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at the University of Chicago Medicine.
