Justin Porter specializes in primary care and hospital medicine. As a comprehensive care physician, he is the primary care provider for a panel of patients at high risk for hospitalization and provides their inpatient care if they become hospitalized. His research interests include the efficient use of primary care provider time, and transitions in care between inpatient and outpatient providers. He has presented his work at the Society of General Internal Medicine and other venues, focusing on the provision of high-quality primary and secondary preventive care.
He received a BA in biology from Cornell University. He earned his MD from New York University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago, where he was a hospitalist scholar.
