Maureen Beederman

Maureen Beederman is a microsurgery fellowship–trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She specializes in complex reconstructive surgery from head to toe, including breast, extremity, trunk, and head and neck reconstruction.

In addition to her clinical work, she is an active researcher, publishing on a range of topics, including surgical treatments of lymphedema, burn and wound care, craniofacial surgery, and neuropathic breast pain. Her work has been published in Annals of Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Annals of Plastic Surgery.

Beederman received her medical degree with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honor societies. She completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of Chicago and was a fellow at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics. Most recently, she completed a microsurgery fellowship at New York University Langone Health.
