Nisa Ören

Nisa Ören specializes in radiology. His research topics include the role of case conferences in neuroradiology resident education, updated World Health Organization nomenclature of head and neck lesions and associated imaging findings, and prone magnetic resonance imaging for the diagnosis of tethered and retethered spinal cord. He has presented his work at the American Society of Spine Radiology, the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Chicago Radiological Society, and the American Society of Neuroradiology.

His work has been published in the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery; Journal of Neuroimaging; AIDS; Insights into Imaging; Ear, Nose, and Throat Journal; European Surgical Research; Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology; Travel Medicine and Infectious Disease; Internal Medicine; Clinical Ophthalmology; Journal of Clinical Ultrasound; The Journal of Craniofacial Surgery; Eurasian Journal of Medicine; and Pediatric Nephrology.

Ören received his medical degree from the Military Medical Academy School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, where he also completed a radiology residency and a neuroradiology fellowship. He completed additional fellowships in advanced neuroradiology, breast imaging, and abdominal imaging at the University of Chicago Medicine.
